Lemon Brûlée Tart

Created by our pastry team exclusively for this special day, this delectable tart features fragrant blueberry lavender cream, sweet meyer lemon gelée, crème diplomat, Aburi meringue, and is finished with toasted marshmallow ice cream. Sweet and tart but not too heavy, this is the perfect after-meal treat for both lunch and dinner.

 

Le Vieux Pin Vaila Rosé

From the Okanagan Valley, this Pinot Noir Rosé features the bright aromas of rhubarb sorbet and pink grapefruit rind. Beverage director Stephen Whiteside recommends pairing this with our deluxe Mother’s Day Sashimi Platter.

No dining experience is complete without dessert. And with the winter chill in full force around the city, we would rather you stay in the warm with us a little longer.

All our desserts are crafted in-house by our talented pastry team. This fall/winter season, Head Pastry Chef Nikki Tam presents the decadent Chocolate Honey Vanilla Fondant and creamy Chai Tea Apple Mousse to Minami’s irresistible dessert lineup.

Chocolate Honey Vanilla Fondant

This indulgent after-dinner treat features our decadent manjari chocolate cake with an aromatic honey vanlla ganache center, sweet pear anglaise and pear caviar, finished with jasmine tea ice cream.

Recommended beverage pairing: Bitter & Twisted
Contrasting flavours between the sweetness of the fondant and bitterness of the cocktail adds nice balance to the palate.

 

Chai Tea Apple Mousse

This breathtakingly beautiful dessert is crafted with a chai tea infused apple mousse with a tart creamy apple curd center, delicately positioned on top of a crunchy walnut cookie and paired with granny smith apple compote and vanilla ice cream.

Recommended pairing: Between Two Seas
This espresso-based cocktail is warm, comforting, and its nutty pistachio notes play off the spice of the chai tea in the mousse.

New Minami Fall Dinner Menu Items

As we exchange sunglasses for scarves and sandals for rain boots, we have also transitioned our menus to adapt to Vancouver’s fall season. We are excited to introduce our new fall dinner menu items!

Aburi Sashimi

The perfect appetizer to share, our Aburi Sashimi features our fresh sashimi flame seared and finished with our signature garnishes. For this season, we are featuring tender japanese squid with ikura and sea asparagus, BC sockeye salmon with daikon oroshi ponzu and yuzu zest, and maguro with wasabi pickles and sweet onion masatake sauce.

Garden Roll

Our refreshed vegetarian Garden Roll has crunchy asparagus, pickled daikon and carrots, and avocado wrapped in shiso and braised Japanese eggplant, finished with a savoury tomato chutney and chives.

Mainland Roll

The newest addition to our specialty rolls menu, our Mainland Roll features spicy tuna and crisp cucumber wrapped in king salmon and shiso, garnished with spicy yuzu sumiso karashi.

Fraser Valley Pork

Our local Fraser Valley Pork showcases contrastive textures between our tender braised pork cheek and crispy pork belly, paired with an aromatic bacon fennel relish, tart apple cinnamon purée, and sweet shoyu glaze finish.

Saikyo Miso Sakekasu Sablefish

Always a guest favourite, our Saikyo Miso Sakekasu Sablefish is marinated in YK3 sakekasu and paired with grilled jumbo tiger prawn, umami dashi braised eggplant, crispy prawn dumpling, and finished with a side of tomato red pepper compote. Paired with our new hoba leaf plating, this is the ultimate dinner indulgence.

Brome Lake Duck

Finally, the last addition to our delectable entrée selection is our Brome Lake Duck: crispy confit duck leg and juicy pan seared duck breast nestled on a bed of parsnip purée, accompanied with roasted grapes, cipollini onions, and an aromatic balsamic teriyaki glaze.

Our spring/summer 2017 menu has officially launched! New savoury items include the smoky Kabayaki Glazed BC Octopus, mouthwatering Fraser Valley Cornish Game Hen, refreshing Pacific Roll, as well as indulgent desserts like the tart Lime Coconut Cheesecake and creamy Hojicha Mousse. Kabayaki Glazed BC Octopus

This smoky dish features our glazed BC octopus sprinkled with crumbled tocino sausage, crispy togarashi spiced chicharron, and is finished with a citrus yuzu vinaigrette. The acidity of the vinaigrette balances the richness of the tocino sausage, while the miso corn velouté dots add an overall subtle sweetness.

Lime Coconut Cheesecake
